SSM provided coordination with PennDOT District 6-0 staff for the upgrade of the existing traffic signal at Third (SR 0010) and Market (SR 0472) Streets in the heart of the downtown.  

The project encompassed a complete replacement of all equipment and implementation of new striping patterns and signal phasing/sequencing for this difficult intersection, which includes an offset side street and an all-pedestrian phase.  

After PennDOT’s issuance of the revised permit SSM prepared technical specifications and bidding documents and ushered the project through the construction phase to completion.
